FAQ

+ Can your travel sheet protect me against bedbugs?

Let's be serious, these creepers have been found in some of the world's finest hotels. Travel prepared by bringing your own protection. We recommend treating your travel sheet with a product like Sawyer Premium Permethrin Clothing Insect Repellent before traveling to make sure bed bugs don't stand a chance.

+ What about protection against disease-carrying mosquitoes?

When traveling to a location where mosquitoes are a concern, we recommend treating your travel sheet with a product like Sawyer Premium Permethrin Clothing Insect Repellent. It not only repels insects but kills ticks, mosquitoes, chiggers, mites, and more than 55 other kinds of insects on contact. This formula has proven effective against the Yellow Fever Mosquito, which can transmit the Zika Virus. Sawyer's repellent contains permethrin, a synthetic molecule similar to pyrethrum which is taken from the beautiful Chrysanthemum flower. Permethrin is non-toxic and registered for use by the U.S. EPA.

+ I'm tall. Will your travel sheet be big enough for me?

We designed our travel sheet to have a roomy fit for fit sleepers up to 6'6" (220cm) in height. It measures 86" x 33" (220cm x 85cm) and is rectangular in shape. We always aim to be conservative in our product claims, erring on the side of under-promising/over-delivering when it comes to specs. Our product actually measures just shy of 7 FEET long in total. The attached full-sized pillow pocket itself is 11" long. The rest of the sheet (from the bottom of the sheet up to the bottom of the pillow pocket) measures 6 FEET. The sheet is 33" (just shy of 3 FEET) wide. (Please note that since each of our sheets is hand sewn, there may be slight variations in exact weight and measurements.)

+How do I wash my travel sheet?

Brave Era uses the highest quality silk and detailed reenforced stitching so you can machine wash your sheet between uses. We recommend washing in cold water on gentle cycle with your favorite hypoallergenic detergent and air-drying for best results.

Through the development process, we tested several different types of fabric, and worked with three different sewing teams in order to get it right. To make sure it was durable, we tested washing the same sheet in the regular cycle in an older laundromat-style machine. It wasn't until the 30th back-to-back destructive wash cycle with jeans and hoodies in these rough machines that the seams finally started to show some wear. (We don't recommend customers beat it up quite so badly, but we wanted to push the limits to make sure our sheet was the highest quality available.) That said, you'll definitely be able to get a long life out of it washing in a gentle cycle with normal detergent. You can wash it alone or with other clothes or linens.

+ Who can benefit from a travel sheet?

Travelers of all kinds love their Brave Era travel sheets: campers, glampers, weekend warriors, extreme adventurers, road trippers, burners, cabin crew, cruisers, hostelers, stargazers, backpackers, music festival-goers, gap-year takers, and luxury seekers.
